
The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) plays a vital role in maintaining national security and responding to emergencies. Building their capacity to effectively respond to disasters and emergencies requires adequate training in emergency preparedness and disaster response.
NEMA Owerri Operations Office organised a training workshop for them to equip
officers with the right skills to respond effectively to emergencies, minimize risks to officers, civilians, infrastructure and to foster collaboration with disaster management agencies.
The State Commandant, Basil Igwebueze who was represented by DCC Nwokeafor Goodman in his opening remarks appreciated NEMA for the great initiative.
