NEMA Uyo Operations Office distributed food Items to persons affected by rainstorm disaster in Calabar Municipality/ Odukpani Federal Constituency.The team lead on behalf of the Director General, Mrs. Zubaida Umar commiserated with the people over their losses from the rainstorm disaster. She encouraged them to heed to NIMET’s prediction for the year and be alert as the federal constituency in Cross River State is one of the high flood risk prone areas identified.The distribution which was witnessed by Hon. Bassey Akiba representing the Federal Constituency was conducted in an orderly manner. In their response, the affected persons expressed their gratitude to the Federal Government and NEMA for its commitment to providing timely and needed support to communities affected by disasters.
