The Ekiti SEMA in collaboration with the Ekiti Operations Office flagged off the distribution of Ekiti State Government relief assistance to persons affected by Rainstorm which occured on 3rd March 2023 in Oke-Ako and Ijesha-isu community today Wednesday 29th March 2023.
While speaking at the distribution exercise, the Head of Operations, Mr Kadiri Olanrewaju commiserated with the government of Ekiti State and people of the Oke-Ako and Ijesha-isu over the unfortunate incidence, he admonished that people should cultivate the culture of planting of trees to serve as wind breakers during storm
The General Manager, Ekiti SEMA, Mr Jide Borode said the items were meant to cushion the effect of the disaster and admonish them to take whatever is given to them in good faith.
The Deputy Governor of Ekiti State, Chief Mrs Monisade Afuye who represented the State government stated the gesture was borne out of the desire of the Governor to make the welfare of Ekiti People a priority agenda of his Administration.
