On October 17, 2024, a federal delegation led by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Senator George Akume, visited Jigawa State to express condolences to Governor Umar Namadi Danmodi and the affected community following a tragic petrol tanker fire.
The delegation also toured Rashid Shakoni Teaching Hospital in Dutse to check on victims receiving medical care. They proceeded to Majia town and the Emir of Ringim’s palace to extend sympathies.
