NEMA Yola Operations Office received a distress alert today 24th April, 2023 at about 10am of a RTC involved a petrol laden tanker around police roundabout, Yola Metropolis, Adamawa State.
The HOO mobilized response stakeholders to the scene of incident to carry out rescue operations. The stakeholders includes FRSC, NPF, NRCS, NSCDC and Adamawa State Fire Service.
According to eye witness, the accident occur as a result of over speeding by the IVECO truck and lost control.
The combine Team of Stakeholders were able to cordon the scene and curtail the spread of the PMS. The traffic was diverted for outbound and inbound around the scene.
The operation was successful and no casualty was recorded.
