In continuation of voluntary evacuation of Nigerian returnees from Libya, the NEMA Lagos Territorial Office LTO with other stakeholders received another batch of 158 returnees. They arrived at the Murtala International Airport, Cargo on 23rd July, 2024 at 18:22hrs aboard a Boeing chartered flight Al-Buragi airline with registered number 5A-DMG. The returnees comprised 45 adult female, 14 female children, 5 female infants, 77 adult male, 12 male children, and 5 male infants.
They were offered necessary assistance by IOM with support from NEMA, NCFRMI, Nigeria Immigration Service, DSS, Port Health and the Nigeria Police.
After the necessary profiling and biometrics exercise, The returnees are expected to be given skilled training as part of the reintegration assistant being offered by IOM.
