On 14th of May,2024 NEMA Gombe Operations Office received an entourage of the Bauchi state emergency Management Agency (SEMA BAUCHI). The familiarization visit was initiated by the recently appointed Director General of SEMA Bauchi, Mas’ud Aliyu. Accompanying the DG is the Board Chairman of the agency, Abdullahi Mohammed Koli along with the Director Relief and Rehabilitation and other management staff.
The SEMA DG in his remarks appreciated the support of the federal government through NEMA to Bauchi state government in the areas of providing succur to the people affected by various disasters as well as vulnerable persons in the state.
In her welcome address, the Head NEMA GOO appreciated the team for identifying with NEMA, and pointed out the need for strengthening collaboration, synergy and coordination of critical stakeholders in the areas of disaster management. The GOO head further intimated the newly appointed DG to report disaster incidents that overwhelm the capacity of the state to NEMA for prompt intervention of the federal government.
