
The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) Kano Territorial Office (KTO) organized a comprehensive training session for Emergency Management Volunteers (EMVs) on disaster management.
The training focused on the critical roles and responsibilities of both NEMA and EMVs in disaster preparedness, response, and mitigation. Participants were educated on the importance of grassroots emergency volunteers in creating awareness, identifying hazards, and ensuring timely reporting to prevent potential disasters.
The program reaffirmed NEMA’s commitment to strengthening community-based disaster management efforts by enhancing local preparedness, response capabilities, and resilience against emergencies.
