The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), Yola Operations Office, participated in a four-day high-level training on disaster preparedness and response, organized by the International Rescue Committee (IRC). The training brought together key stakeholders in emergency management to enhance capacity, coordination, and readiness for effective disaster response.
The program covered critical areas such as early warning systems, risk assessment, emergency response coordination, and community engagement strategies.
Key highlights of the training included case studies, interactive sessions, and the presentation of certificates to participants.
By collaborating with international partners like the IRC, NEMA aims to strengthen its operational efficiency and ensure timely, effective interventions during emergencies.
