NEMA to Deploy Biometric Machines to Capture Flood Affected IDPs

For proper profiling of displaced persons, the National Emergency Management Agency has concluded arrangement to deploy automated bio-metric identification system to the camps of the IDPs affected by the recent flood in the country.
In preparation for the deployment, the agency commenced special training for the staff to use the bio-metric systems.
Director Search and Rescue Air Commodore Akugbe Iyamu who represented the DG at the opening of the training said the system aimed ensuring accountability, probity and transparency in the management of the flood intervention.
