Director General National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) Mustapha Habib Ahmed And Management staff at the National Assembly on invitation to a public hearing by the House of Representatives Committee on Ecological Fund and House Committee on Disaster and Emergency Preparedness.

Director General National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) Mustapha Habib Ahmed today led the Management to the National Assembly in responding to invitation to a public hearing by the House of Representatives Committee on Ecological Fund and later to the House Committee on Disaster and Emergency Preparedness.

At the public hearing, the DG NEMA defended the utilization of the Ecological Fund that accrue to the Agency. Chairman of the Committee Hon Ibrahim Ayokunle Isiaka appreciated the presentation by the DG but highlighted the imperative for open communication between the Agency and the Committee to enable the members to be abreast with application of the Ecological Fund in the management of disasters in the country.

Similarly, at the 2023 budget defense, the DG-NEMA defended the Agency’s budget proposal for next year. Chairman of the House Committee on Disaster Preparedness, Hon Tunji Olawuyi led the members in appraisal of the budget estimates.

The DG NEMA was joined by the Director Relief and Rehabilitation, Director Human Resource Management, Director General Services, Director Disaster Risk Reduction, Director Internal Audit, Special Assistant to the DG-NEMA, Deputy Director Finance and Accounts (Expenditure), Deputy Director Finance and Accounts (Other challenges and Accounts), Deputy Director Operations (and NASS Liaison), Deputy Director Special Duties, Deputy Director Research and Forecasting, Legal Advisor, AD Finance and other supporting staff.
