NEMA And Kaduna State Government Delegation and others visit Bombed Village in Kaduna

The Zonal Coordinator, NEMA North West Zone Abbani Imam Garki has led other staff on Condolence visit and to also assess the damage caused by the recent Airstrike in Tudun Biri Community of Igabi Local Government Area, Kaduna.

On Arrival, the team met on ground the Kaduna State Government officials which was headed by the Deputy Governor, Hadiza Sabuwa in company of the Chief of Staff to the state Governor, Sani Kila and the Secretary to the State Government, Dr. Abdulkadir Muazu Meyere at the remote village.

The Zonal Coordinator on behalf of the Federal Government through the agency symphatized and prayed for repose to the soul of the dead and also the quick recovery of those who were hospitalized following various injuries sustained during the incident.

However, during the assessment, the team discovered that following the two airstrikes about 88 people died while no fewer than 68 people sustaining various degrees of injuries.

The affected victims were from four different communities of Ugara, Sabon Gida, Ihira and Tudun Biri who are said to converge to commemorate the Maulud celebration in the village.

The assessment exercise was conducted successfully and the team with the state government delegation proceeded to the grave sites to pray for those who lost their lives during the onslaught.
