NEMA South East Zonal Office organized Stakeholders meeting in Enugu State on 27th April 2023 to review disaster risk reduction approaches as well as fashioning out strategies of stakeholders during emergency situation. The meeting which took place at the Conference Hall of NEMA South East Zone had in attendance participants from NEMA, SEMA, LEMC, NPF, FRSC, NSCDC, FFS, NRC, NiMet, FAAN, Media etc. The Acting Zonal Coordinator Ngozi Echeazu in her welcome remarks thanked all the relevant stakeholders in attendance and urged them to keep working together for seamless disaster management in Enugu State. Prevalent disaster in the state such as flood, windstorm, fire, road/air accident, insecurity, epidemics were pointed out. The 2023 Seasonal Climate Prediction was highlighted. Also highlighted were the capacity, equipment holdings, and emergency numbers of the different stakeholders.
