The Director General of the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), Mrs. Zubaida Umar, on Thursday, 3rd July 2025, received the Commandant of the National Institute for Security Studies (NISS), Mr. J.O. Odama, who paid a courtesy visit to the Agency’s headquarters in Abuja.
Mr. Odama said the visit was aimed at fostering collaboration between the two institutions and exploring opportunities for NEMA staff to participate in strategic capacity development programmes and executive management courses offered by the Institute. He also highlighted strides by NISS in expanding the scope of its academic and professional courses in line with national priorities.
Responding, the Director General of NEMA, Mrs. Zubaida Umar, appreciated the commandant and his team for the visit.
She congratulated the Commandant and the Institute for their continued progress and affirmed NEMA’s willingness to partner in areas of mutual interest, particularly in building institutional capacity and enhancing inter-agency cooperation.
