On April 19, 2025, the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) provided relief materials to communities in Jahun and Miga Local Government Areas of Jigawa South-West Senatorial District, affected by recent communal clashes.The distribution was carried out by the NEMA Kano Operations Office as part of efforts to support affected individuals. Beneficiaries were urged to make good use of the items provided.Representing the Director General of NEMA, the Head of the Kano Operations Office, Dr. Nuradeen Abdullahi, conveyed the agency’s concern over the incidents and emphasized that the relief items were not compensation, but a show of support and solidarity from the federal government.Distinguished Senator Mustapha Khabeeb commended NEMA for the timely and compassionate response, expressing his gratitude for the agency’s intervention.Key stakeholders present at the event included representatives from the Nigeria Police Force, Department of State Services (DSS), Nigeria Television Authority (NTA), Jigawa State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA), among others.
