
NEMA Response Team led by Zonal Coordinator Adebiyi Babatunde Razaq, in collaboration with the Rivers State Ministry of Special Duties and the Rivers State Emergency Medical Services, responded to a building collapse at Okporo Road. The building, previously a bungalow, was being renovated into a two-storey structure when it collapsed. The incident occurred at 4:00 PM on July 2, 2024. Three people (two women and a two-year-old child) were rescued from the rubble after an intensive search. The NEMA team remained on-site until 10:13 AM the next day and later visited the injured at Dominion Life Hospital and Pristine Medical Consults.
