NEMA Southwest Zonal Office, in collaboration with Osun State SEMA and community leaders, assessed the rainstorm disaster in Iloko, Oriade LGA of Osun State. The team, led by AZC Olanrewaju Kazeem, was warmly received by Oba (Dr.) Akeem Ogungbangbe. The Oba and community leaders appreciated the quick response and briefed the team on the situation. The assessment revealed extensive damage, including property destruction, loss of livelihoods, and one fatality, with over a thousand people affected and 600 displaced. The community urgently appealed to the Federal government for assistance.
