NEMA other stakeholders receive 168 distressed and stranded Nigerians repatriated from Libya

NEMA, along with other stakeholders, welcomed 168 distressed and stranded Nigerians who were repatriated from Libya. The International Organization for Migration (IOM) facilitated their return through the Assisted Voluntary Repatriation program. The chartered flight, operated by Al Buraq Air with registration number 5A-DMG, landed around 1645 hours at the Murtala Muhammad International Airport Cargo Wing in Ikeja. Among the returnees were 79 adult females, 19 female children, and 6 male infants, as well as 31 adult males, 16 male children, and 7 male infants. Alongside NEMA, other agencies present to receive the returnees included the Refugee Commission, NAPTIP, FAAN, and the Police.
