The Director General National Emergency Management Agency Muhammad Sani Sidi represented by the Director Search and Rescue Air Commodore Charles Otegbade led a team from the Agency on a visit to various hospitals where victims of the recent Kano bomb blast are receiving treatment.
He conveyed the sympathy of the Federal Government to the Kano State Government and victims of the blasts. After rapid a assessment, he announced that the Federal Government had directed the delivery of medical consumables and other support for the treatment and stabilization of the victims.
The team was received and conducted round the wards by the Chief Medical Directors of the hospitals and also met with the Deputy Governor of Kano State Dr Abdullahi Ganduje in company of the former Head of State Gen Muhammadu Buhari. The hospitals visited included the Murtala Muhammad Hospital, National Orthopedic Hospital Dala, Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital.
