NEMA Distributes Relief Materials to Windstorm and Rainstorm Victims in Kaduna

The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), through its Kaduna Operations Office (KOO), has distributed relief materials to persons and communities affected by windstorm and rainstorm disasters in the Kaduna North Senatorial District of Kaduna State.

The distribution exercise was aimed at alleviating the hardship of households impacted by the disaster. The intervention comprised both food and non-food items carefully selected to meet the immediate needs of the affected persons.

Present at the event were the targeted beneficiaries, representatives of Senator Barr. Ibrahim Khalid Mustapha, Member representing Kaduna North Senatorial District, Community Leaders, Security Operatives, and other government officials who joined in support of the exercise.

The distributed items included bags of rice, beans, and maize; cartons of vegetable oil; seasoning cubes; tomato paste; children’s clothing; and wax prints, among other essential supplies.

In his goodwill message, the Senator Commended NEMA and its Director General, Mrs. Zubaida Umar, for the Agency’s swift and timely response to the needs of disaster-affected persons across the country.

Delivering the Director General’s message, the Head, NEMA office, Mal. Suleiman Muhammad conveyed her heartfelt sympathy to the victims and reaffirmed NEMA’s unwavering commitment to supporting communities during emergencies and disasters.

The Head, NEMA KOO represented by Relief and Rehabilitation Officer, Abbas G. Hamisu urged the victims to utilize the federal government relief gesture to ease their plight, adding that it will serve as succor not compensation for their losses.
