The Stakeholders meeting was organised to engender synergy between all emergency responding Agencies in the State. His Excellency the Executive Governor of Osun State represented by the Special Adviser (SA) on disaster management. Hon Emiola Fakeye. She delivered the opening remarks at the occasion, highlighting, the need to develop harmonious relationship between first responders. Furthermore, She said that the Governor is determined to mitigate disaster to the barest minimum in the State.The General Manger Osun SEMA Mr Babajide Falade in his speech implore participant, to develop mechanism that will enhance disaster response in the State.
Director General NEMA Mustapha Habib Ahmed, represented by the Zonal Coordinator South West Zonal Office Mr Kadiri Olanrewaju in his speech encouraged Stakeholders to develop models that will improve Disaster Risk Management(DRM).He explain the need to have Local Emergency Management Committee (LEMC) at the Local Government level to develop Community resilience to disaster.
