Kogi State Government has reiterated its determination to liaise with the federal government to share ideas for lasting solution to flooding in the state.
Governor Yahaya Bello in a message Stated this while receiving Grains approved by the President for distribution to vulnerable Nigerians at Government House today in Lokoja.
The Governor Represented by the Deputy Governor Chief Edward Onoja said they are working to actualize the lofty ideals of present Administration in an efficient, transparent manner.
Governor Bello said the food items will be distributed directly to the desrving person’s through SEMA office.
He Commended President Muhammed Buhari for his quick initiative to provide succour to the plight of the displaced persons as a result of the flood.
Earlier The Director General NEMA Represented by Deputy Director ICT NEMA Hq Abuja Alhaji Sani Lokoja said assorted food commodities were approved for distribution to most vulnerable persons in Kogi State, maize, sorghum and garri.
The Director General maintained that president Muhammed Buhari approved the food commodities from the national strategic reserve stock for distribution to vulnerable Nigerians to reduce effect of flood.
