Explosion at Kara Market along Atani Road, Onitsha in Anambra State

Following an explosion at Kara Market along Atani Road, Ogbaru LGA near Onitsha in Anambra State, which occurred on Wednesday 4th May 2016 at about 8.30 pm, a team of Assessors from NEMA South-East Zonal Office, representatives of SEMA Anambra and Nigerian Red Cross Society (NRCS), Anambra State Chapter embarked on a visit to the affected area on Friday 6th May, 2016 to ascertain the actual cause of the explosion, the damage/losses incurred by the affected persons and make recommendations for relief assistance if needs be.

Also, the team visited the hospitals where the injured persons were admitted, sympathized with them.
