The NEMA South-West Zonal Director Mr Stephen Adewale and the Zonal Coordinator Mr Olanrewaju Kadiri alongside Staff of the Zonal Office paid a courtesy visit to His Excellency the Deputy Governor of Oyo State Barr. Abdul-Raheem Adebayo Lawal today Wednesday 28th February,2024. The Team were received at the Governor’s Office by the SEMA Executive Secretary Mrs O.A Busari. The purpose of the visit was to introduce the new Ag. Zonal Director to the Deputy Governor of the State and to build on the existing synergy between NEMA and Oyo State. Government. The Deputy Governor was elated to receive NEMA Officials promised to work with NEMA Team in order to achieve positive stride in Disaster Management in the State. He pledged his full support to the Agencies programs to achieve its mandate. The Zonal Director Commiserated with the people of Oyo State on the Bodija explosion that occurred on the 16th of January,2024 and brief the Deputy Governor of the new Directorate in NEMA, how it will improve Disaster Risk Management in the South-West geopolitical Zone. The Zonal Coordinator further, Updated the Deputy Governor of its activities so far and the upcoming consultative forum in the State.
