Following the approval of relief materials for victims of fire disasters in Lokoja, Ofu, and Ogorimagongo LGAs of Kogi State, a team from the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), Abuja Operations Office (AOO), was deployed to coordinate the distribution exercise.During the event, His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Kogi State, ably represented by the Executive Secretary of the Kogi State Emergency Management Agency (KOSEMA), Alhaji Muktar Atima, expressed gratitude to NEMA for its timely intervention in bringing relief to those affected. He appreciated the leadership of NEMA AOO for its collaboration with the state government in strengthening disaster management efforts. Alhaji Atima reaffirmed the government’s commitment to working with relevant stakeholders to ensure effective and coordinated disaster response across the state.Speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries, Mr. Umoru Ndanusa thanked NEMA for its support and offered prayers for the safe return of the team to their respective destinations.04.06.2025
