NEMA Kano Territorial Office KTO collaborates with Jigawa SEMA to train local emergency management committee LEMCs in Jigawa State on 16th July, 2024, with the theme ” Building Community Resilience”
The training program aimed at strengthening the capacity of Local Emergency Management Committees (LEMCs) in the state, it also focuses on building resilient Communities: Enhancing Local Disaster Preparedness and Response,”
The training emphasized the importance of local preparedness and effective response to disasters.
It provides LEMCs with the necessary knowledge and skills to manage disasters effectively and encourage active community participation in disaster preparedness and management. The MD of Jigawa State Environmental Protection Agency who was at the program, emphasized on the significant of proper wast disposals / Management as a flood disaster mitigation strategy.
The second batch of participants will converge in Dutse on Thursday the 18th day of July, 2024 for the continuation of the program.
