The Director General National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) Mustapha Habib Ahmed on Thursday 29th July 2021 led the management of the Agency on a visit to the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA). They were received by the Director General of NITDA Kashifu Inuwa Abdullahi and his management team.
Discussion between the Management of NEMA and NITDA were focused on areas of partnership by the two Agencies to provide quality service delivery.
In his remark, the Director General NEMA Mustapha Habib Ahmed requested the partnership of NITDA towards deployment of ICT for real time communication between NEMA Headquarters and its Zonal, Territorial and Operations Offices; field operations and disaster monitoring, communication and response activities amongst others.
Responding, the Director General NITDA Kashifu assured the supports of his Agency to partner with NEMA through training of staff on ICT and other supports on digital communication.
The DG NEMA was accompanied on the visit by the Director of Planning Research and Forecasting Alhaji Nuhu Alhassan, Director Disaster Risk Reduction Mr Vincent Owan, Director Special Duties Alhaji Salisu Mukthar Isa, SADG Alhaji Idris Abubakar Mohammed, Assist Director PRF Justine U. Uche, Head of Situation Room Alhaji Hayatu A. Shehu and others
