





The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), Yola Operations Office, has flagged off the official distribution of relief materials to affected victims of recent fire disasters across Jalingo, Zing, and Lau Local Government Areas of Taraba State.
The flag-off ceremony, held earlier today in Jalingo, underscores the federal government’s commitment to providing timely humanitarian support to communities impacted by emergencies and disasters.
Speaking at the event, the Head of Operations, NEMA Yola Operations Office, Mr. Ladan Ayuba, represented by Giwa Kurutsi Siman (AC SARO) stated that the intervention follows the rapid assessment and needs analysis conducted by NEMA in collaboration with the Taraba State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA) and other relevant stakeholders. He emphasized that the relief materials are meant to cushion the hardship faced by the victims, restore hope, and facilitate their recovery process.
The distributed relief items include assorted foodstuff tailored to meet the immediate needs of affected families.
The event witnessed the presence of representatives from Taraba SEMA, local government officials, security agencies, and members of the affected communities, all of whom expressed appreciation for the Federal Government’s prompt intervention through NEMA
