National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) North East Zonal Office in Maiduguri, in collaboration with the Borno State Emergency Management Agency (BOSEMA) and the Borno State Environmental Protection Agency (BOSEPA), supported by Salient National Non-Governmental Organization, organized a sensitization campaign on proper waste management and flood preparedness in Borno State. The campaign aimed to increase community knowledge about flood hazards and risks, enhance community capacity for faster and more effective response during flood events, and enable the identification of high-risk flood zones. This sensitization effort was taken to Maduganari community with support from NYSC Emergency Management Vanguards to downscale the message in flood prone areas of Maiduguri, Borno State.
