DISTRIBUTION OF RELIEF MATERIALS TO PERSON’S AFFECTED BY FLOOD IN WUKARI/IBBI FEDERAL CONSTITUENCY OF TARABA STATE

Following the Director General’s approval of NEMA Mustapha Habib Ahmed for relief distribution to the affected persons, office rs⁰ of NEMA Yola Operations office, in conjunction with Taraba State Emergency Management Agency (TSEMA), distributed relief materials to victims of the flood disaster in Wukari/Ibbi federal constituency of Taraba State.

While flagging off the distribution in Wukari, the Head of Operations, Mr Ladan Ayuba who ably represented by Mr. Giwa Siman Kurutsi (ACSARO), on behalf of the Director General, mentioned that the relief materials are part of the federal government’s gesture through NEMA to alleviate the sufferings of the affected persons.

As the relief materials reached the hands of the beneficiaries, there was gratitude and hope, with the assurance from Mr. Matswende who represented the Hon Member Representating Wukari Ibbi reinforcing the responsible utilization of the aid provided.

The presence of key stakeholders such as the Nigerian Police, DSS, NSCDC, and the Taraba State Emergency Management Agency underscored the importance of a comprehensive and collective approach to disaster response and recovery.

This initiative not only reflects the government’s responsiveness but also highlights the significance of inter-agency cooperation in times of crises, ensuring a more effective and targeted relief effort for the affected community.
