The Director General National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), Mustapha Habib Ahmed has condoled with Vice President Kashim Shettima over the passing of his step mother, Hajja Hauwa Abba Kormi.
Ahmed who led the management of NEMA on condolence visit to the family house of the Vice President in Maiduguri described the passing of Hajja Hauwa as a great loss to the family of the number two citizen, his immediate family as well as NEMA.
He pray that God will forgive her short coming, comfort the Vice President and members of the family.
The Director General NEMA was received by a member of the Vice President’s family, Alhaji Shettima Mohammed Shettima who appreciated the team for the condolence visit.
Among members of NEMA management team were the Director Disaster Planning Research and Forecasting Dr Onimode Bandele Abdullahi, Director Relief and Rehabilitation Alh Adamu Abdullahi Usur, Special Assistant to the DG Mr Idris Abubakar Mohammed, Director North East zone Alhaji Suleiman Yakubu and others.
Recall that Hajja Hauwa, the step mother of the Vice President had passed away on Thursday 1st February 2024 and was buried last weekend in accordance with islamic rites.
