DG NEMA Mustapha Y. Maihaja assures of his commitment to improved staff welfare

Director General National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) Engr. Mustapha Y. Maihaja has assured of his commitment to improved staff welfare and harmony as necessary for the agency to achieve its mandates on emergency and disaster management in the country.
Speaking in his office during the presentation of a new executives of the Association of Senior Civil Servants of Nigeria (ASCSN) NEMA Unit, he said the management of NEMA under his watch would operate an open door policy and accommodate useful inputs from the staff. However, he said the management would adhere to due process, observe extant rules and principles not to contravene the law under any guise.
The Secretary of ASCSN in the Federal Capital Territory Comrade Isaac Ojemhenke who formally presented the new officials of the union to management of NEMA, appealed for sustainable understanding between them to work together for industrial harmony in the agency.
He also inaugurated the new union leaders in the presence of the management of NEMA.
The new officials of ASCSN NEMA unit were elected by the staff on 8th March 2018 with Mr Justin Uche Owazuruonye as Chairman; Hafsat Shaibu, Vice Chair; Ofili Charles, Secretary; Agaba Moshood, Financial Secretary and Abdul Funsho as Ex-Officio.
