The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), through its Kaduna Operations Office (KOO), has distributed relief materials to persons affected by windstorm/flood disasters in Kajuru Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
The direct distribution exercise was led by the Head, NEMA Operations Office, Kaduna, Mal. Suleiman Muhammad, alongside other staff of the agency. The intervention, which consisted mainly of food items, was aimed at cushioning the plight of the affected households.
Present at the event were the targeted beneficiaries, representatives of Senator Lawal Adamu Usman, the Senator representing Kaduna Central Senatorial Zone, Community Leaders, and other Government officials who joined in support of the exercise.
The relief materials shared among the beneficiaries included bags of rice, maize, cartons of vegetable oil, seasoning cubes, bags of salt, cartons of spaghetti, and tomato paste.
In his goodwill message, Senator Lawal Adamu Usman commended NEMA and its Director General, Mrs. Zubaida Umar, for the agency’s swift and timely response in coming to the aid of disaster-affected persons in Kajuru.
While delivering the Director General’s message, the Head of Operation, Suleiman Muhammad, conveyed her regards and sympathy to the victims, assuring them of NEMA’s continued commitment to supporting communities in times of need.
