NEMA South South Zone received the report of a fire outbreak on Shell (SPDC) pipeline in Rumuekpe community, Ikwerre LGA of Rivers State. The incident occurred around 2:00 am on Friday 03:03:2023. Preliminary investigation has revealed that the incident was as a result of illegal bunkering activity along the Shell pipeline. Critical response agencies viz: FFS, NSCDC, NOSDRA, NPF, NRC, SEMA have been activated. A joint assessment will be carried out as soon as possible
