NEMA Yola Operations Office, in collaboration with NYSC and District Head of Nassarawo Abba organized a comprehensive training session for the NYSC Disaster Management Community Development Service (CDS) group focusing on Fire prevention in Nassarawo Abba district, Yola North LGA of Adamawa State.

The training commenced with a presentation by the search and rescue team, led by Mr. Pius, who provided insightful information on the potential risks posed by fire to the community. Emphasized the importance of early detection, preparedness, and effective response strategies. They also discussed the significance of community involvement in developing resilience against fire disaster.
He delivered a detailed presentation outlining the common causes of fire disaster and practical measures to prevent them. Topics covered included safe handling of combustible materials, proper use of fire extinguishers, and the importance of maintaining clear fire escape routes, etc.
The Royal Highness, Abubakar Aliyu Mustapha, the district head Nassarawo Abba, urged village heads to step down the training to their people and also adhere to safety measures to prevent fire disaster.
Mr Pius also enjoined them to have fire extinguishers in their shops/homes in case of a fire outbreak.
