NEMA Distributes Relief Items to Fire Victims in Irepo/Orelope/Olorunsogo oyo state

The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), Ibadan Operations Office, conducted a relief distribution exercise on March 21, 2025, in Kishi, Oyo State. This initiative aimed to support families affected by recent fire incidents in the Irepo/Orelope/Olorunsogo Federal Constituency.

The relief materials, facilitated by Hon. Prince Olaide Lateef Mohammed, included essential food supplies such as rice, garri, vegetable oil, tomato paste, and bouillon cubes.

The distribution was carried out in collaboration with the Oyo State Fire Service, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Federal Road Safety Corps, Nigerian Police Force, local authorities, and community representatives to ensure that the items reached the affected individuals and families.

Mr. Kadiri Olarewaju, NEMA’s Head of Operations, sympathized with the victims and reiterated the agency’s commitment to disaster response and community resilience. He encouraged residents to adopt preventive measures to mitigate fire outbreaks and other emergencies.

Hon. Prince Olaide Lateef Mohammed reaffirmed his dedication to the welfare of his constituents, pledging to continue advocating for more interventions to improve the lives of those affected by disasters.

Beneficiaries expressed their gratitude for the timely intervention, emphasizing that the support would go a long way in alleviating their hardships.
