The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), Yola Operations Office, has initiated the distribution of relief materials to victims of windstorms and banditry attacks in Taraba North Senatorial District. Representing the Director-General of NEMA, Yusuf Ibbi stated that the intervention aims to alleviate the suffering of affected communities and support recovery efforts.
The event, held in Jalingo, included representatives from the Taraba State Emergency Management Agency (TSEMA), community leaders, and other stakeholders. Relief materials, including rice, maize, and other food items, were distributed to affected LGAs such as Jalingo, Yorro, Zing, and Karim Lamido.
Senator Shuaibu Isa Lau, represented by his aide, expressed gratitude to NEMA on behalf of the beneficiaries and assured that the materials would reach the intended recipients. NEMA reiterated its commitment to supporting individuals affected by disasters and fostering recovery.
