NEMA and SEMA organized a flood sensitization program in Aninri Local Government Area, Enugu State, at Ndeabor. The event, titled “2024 Flood Sensitization and Preparedness Programme for Flood Prone Areas in Enugu State,” aimed to educate the community on flood management due to predictions from NIMET/NIHSA and past flood experiences. Key speakers included Hon. Okolo Uzoma Ndidiamaka’s representative, Mrs. Chinasa Mbah of SEMA, and Major James Eze Zonal Director NEMA South East. They emphasized the importance of early evacuation and farm insurance. Attendees included local leaders, community heads, and various officials. The program covered flood causes, impacts, and management.

In attendance are: HRH Igwe Ben N. Eze the Traditional Ruler of Ndeaboh Community, Mrs Ngozi Echeazu the South East Zonal Coordinator, SP Moses Asogwa LGA DPO, Various Heads of Aninri Local Government Council, Community Heads, Representative of religious groups and other community members.
