NEMA ERT South South Zonal Officials escaped death while on humanitarian intervention.
Upon hearing that some people were trapped in a flooded community along with State Emergency Management Agency staff, NEMA staff took off to rescue the trapped victims but couldn’t reach the scene as their ERT vehicle somersaulted four times while on their journey but the driver was able to control d vehicle as they were within the speed limit which helped.
The rear Tyre busted in motion and with no better option the vehicle was diverted into a canal.
This greatly helped in saving the entire 5 personnel in the vehicle but they sustained minor injuries.
They have been treated and discharged.
