A two days workshop was organised by the National Emergency Management Agency in collaboration with the United Nations development programme (UNDP) and ECOWAS under the Sahel Resilience Project Initiatives.
The programme was held at Dan Tsoho hotels,Yola for 6 states in the North East region of the country.
The Director General of NEMA Mustapha Ahmed Habib represented at the workshop by NEMA Yola, Head of Operations Mr Ladan Ayuba charged stakeholders at the workshop to contribute meaningfully towards achieving the set targets of the Sendai Framework of actions by mainstreaming DRR in to their development plans, programme and activities so as to achieve a resilient societies.
Highlights of the event included presentation from resource persons from NEMA, UNDP and the Academia .
Stakeholders present at the workshop include SEMA’s, NSCDC,CSO’s and relevant MDAs .
