The International Committee of the Red Cross, led by Mrs. Leonor Crissostomo, Head of the Protection Unit, visited NEMA Yola Operations Office.
The purpose of the visit was to assess the challenges related to camp closure and understanding NEMA’s role in the durable solution process, and ensure the availability and integrity of facilities for settlement/durable solutions, which includes healthcare services, WASH and schools.
During the interactive session, Mrs. Crissostomo briefed Mr. Ladan Ayuba, the Head of Operations, on the role of the International Committee of the Red Cross.
The Head of Operations appreciated and expressed his gratitude for the support provided to IDPs in both formal camps and host communities, still encourage for synergy collaboration for working as partners.
