





In a bid to enhance inter-agency coordination and response capacity in the event of an aircraft crash within or around the airport vicinity, the Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA) Search and Rescue Unit organized a tabletop simulation exercise at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA).
Staff from the Lagos Operations Office (LOO) of NEMA were deployed by the Head of Operations to participate in the exercise. The simulation aimed at fostering collaboration among stakeholders and clearly defining the roles and responsibilities of each agency during emergency situations.
During the exercise, emphasis was placed on the importance of synergy and timely communication among stakeholders for effective response operations. Representatives of participating agencies expressed appreciation to the NAMA team for organizing the session and stressed the need for regular simulation exercises to improve preparedness and operational efficiency.
