Director General NEMA Mrs Zubaida Umar joined His Excellency Vice President Kashim Shettima and other members of Federal Government delegation to Maiduguri over the flood disaster that occurred in the city.
The flood disaster, which started at the weekend after heavy rains, later became more serious following deluge from the overflowing of Alau dam.
The Federal Government delegation received by Governor Babagana Zullum bravely wade through the flood in some of the areas that they visited.
In his remarks, Vice President Shettima said the President, His Excellency Bola Ahmed Tinuba was concerned about the disaster and assured the support of the Federal Government to the impacted persons and families.
