

Director General National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) Mustapha Habib Ahmed has said upgraded NEMA’s Geographical Information System (GIS) laboratory will facilitate accurate and timely geospatial information for efficient management of disasters, especially flood.
He stated this today during an inspection of on-going upgrading of the GIS laboratory situated at the NEMA headquarters, Abuja. The DG NEMA was received and conducted round the facility by the Director of Planning, Research and Forecasting Dr Onimode Abdullahi Bandele and a representative of the contractor that is handling the project.
The DG NEMA was briefed on the stage of the project, while he also highlighted some areas for immediate attention to optimize the benefits of the facility.
The DG NEMA was joined on the inspection of the facility by some management staff of the Agency.
