In its bid to foster stronger synergy and key stakeholders engagements in delivering on the Agency’s mandate, the NEMA Uyo Operations Office paid a courtesy visit to the State Director, Akwa Ibom State Command of the DSS Uyo.
The Ag. Head of NEMA Uyo Operations Office Mrs Mmandu Aisueni who led the team in her remarks stressed the need for stronger synergy between the two agencies in the area of surveillance, intelligence and security. She further highlighted that the office would like to leverage on their intelligence gathering ability in carrying out assignments in any crisis ridden areas.
The State Director Mr Adedoyin Adetuberu Ph.D in his response appreciated NEMA for the visit, and stated that the DSS has always been a dependable ally and will continue to be so in any area that the Uyo Operations Office would need their support. He however pledged to appoint a desk officer for the Agency, for ease of communication.
The visit ended with a presentation of the National Contingency Plan May 2023 – March 2025 to the State Director. Thereafter group photographs were taken. 2:05:24
