Reception of 138 Nigerian Returnees from Sudan

The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), Kano Operations Office, participated in the reception of 138 Nigerian returnees from Sudan. The repatriation exercise is part of the Voluntary Return initiative supported by the International Organization for Migration (IOM) in collaboration with the Federal Government of Nigeria. The returnees arrived at Malam Aminu Kano International Airport at approximately 1:30 pm. local time on Wednesday, September 24, 2025.

Upon arrival, the returnees were taking to Badala Hotel for their accommodation and profiling, which was done today, the 25th day of September,2025.

The collaborative efforts of NEMA , IOM, NCFRM, SEMA, and other key stakeholders ensured that the entire reception process was well organized, efficient, and centered on the diginity and welfare.
The reception exercise was carried out successfully and without incident.

Adult Males: 26
Adult Females 46
Children Males 23
Children Female 43
