Centre for Gospel Health and Development, founded by the United Nations, paid a courtesy visit to the NEMA North-Central Zone today, the 13th of November, 2023 with the aim to seek for collaborative and preparedness response plan for three (3) Local Government Areas, comprising Riyom, Bokkos and Langtang South of Plateau State.
The team, headed by Mr. Dasu Yakubu, stated that the centre wants the NCZO to help them in building a Development, Preparedness and Response Plan in relation to Global Warming and Climate Change. However, he wants the Zone to help build resilience and capacity in her members in Disaster Risk Reduction as it affects Climate Change.
The team presented a T-shirt and branded jotters to the Zonal Coordinator, Mr. Eugene Nyelong, who appreciated themfor recognising the pivotal role of the NEMA in disaster management and promised to leave its doors open for more productive partnership.
