Following the rainstorm disaster that occured in eight (8)Communities at Sagamu Local Government Area of Ogun State. NEMA South West Zonal Office in collaboration with Ogun State Emergency Management Agency(Ogun SEMA) carried out an on -the- Spot Assessment to ascertain the extent of damage the disaster has caused on the 26th April,2024. The Joint assessment Team were received on arrival by the community leaders Baale Nosiru Tayo and Baale Adebayo Olowookere. The NEMA South-West Coordinator sympathized with the affected persons over the disaster that ravaged the Communities. The Baales conveyed the team to the affected Communities.

• Gbonlu
The disaster affected properties worth millions of Naira such as residential buildings, kiosk, electric poles, cars,tricycles,worship centers,schools and town hall. However, During the assessment, it was observed that the affected persons are in dire need of humanitarian assistance to enable them recover from the losses ,fortunately no life was lost in the incident while, Some of the displaced Persons are currently staying with friends and relatives.
