327 stranded Nigerians voluntarily repatriated from Libya facilitated by the International Organisation for Migration (IOM) in collaboration with Nigeria’s Mission in Libya,

NEMA played a role in receiving 327 stranded Nigerians voluntarily repatriated from Libya in two chartered flights yesterday. The repatriation, facilitated by the International Organisation for Migration (IOM) in collaboration with Nigeria’s Mission in Libya, saw the first flight (Al Buraq, registration 5A-DAA) land at Murtala Muhammad International Airport’s Cargo Wing at approximately 1830 hours with 162 returnees. The second flight (Nouvellair, registration TS-INT) landed at about 1915 hours with 165 returnees. The breakdown shows 285 adults, 19 children, and 23 infants. Among them, 222 young women, 13 female children, and 10 infant females, along with 82 male adults, 6 male children, and 13 male infants. NAPTIP, NIS, and the Refugee Commission were present during the repatriation.
