Zonal Coordinator NEMA North East with his team and relevant stakeholders visited the victims of an improvised explosive device incident on admission at Borno state General Hospital Maiduguri.The incident occurred yesterday, Around 8 pm in kawuri Konduga LGA area of Borno state.
At about 8:05 pm after isha prayer. A suspected suicide bomber exploded herself in the midle of crowd.
19 victims died at the spot and 20 persons sustained serious injuries. The 20 persons were brought to State Specialist Hospital with support from the LGA Chairman and NEMA ERT,SEMA and other stakeholders
Those that sustained mild injuries were taken to Government Hospital Konduga. 1-August-24
